Still here....

Well I thought I would be gone by now but silly me I decided to apply to two coasts. Now I am afraid if I start heading one way I will have to turnaround and head back.

So to fill the hours between making mistakes on my cover letter and resume I have begun exploring Shady Cove. So far I have found a nice winery with way too many wines to sample and a pizza company that needs to work on their crust. On the bright side, after four hours of rafting you can get out, walk over to the tasting room, pick a wine, then cross the bridge to a mexican resteraunt. There is an awesome porch to eat tacos and other things from while heckling the rafters below.

I also purchased new books in development and grant writing as well as maps. I am leaving...I swear.

Packing....and Packing

Hey world,

Well I have been trying to leave. It is amazing the clutter one can obtain in a couple of years. For a person who dislikes objects I have an awful lot of them. I have probably thrown away or donated half of what I need to so far. The twenty-fifth will pass me by at this rate.

In job search news; Seattle has become a possibility with better weather, easier escapes, and a bi-coastal company called PATH. Washington DC; the hot sweaty side of the world has more jobs available so statistically I should land there.

Anyone think I should drive to one of those fuzzy states in the middle and wait and see?

Actually I think I will head to Portland once I am packed, jog up to Seattle and see what's going on. If I like it I may stay a couple days to more vigorously pursue the job market there. I still want to see the dinosaur museum in Montana. Guess I will have to pick a date and jet over there.

Anyone want a wierd monkey? or a paperweight? or any of this other random stuff? Just joking, I have a nice sized goodwill/salvation army box. And if you've ever wondered how much can fit inside a Prius I will post pictures before I leave :)
